What I do

I can assist you with traditional treatment, in house detox, and residential treatment. I only make recommendations where the staff is supportive, where there is no stigma to addiction, and where you can start the process of getting the help that you need. I only refer to private facilities, no lock down units. I will work with dual diagnostic persons who feel anxiety and are having feelings of anxiety and depression, these often accompany any addiction. Quite simply, it is about the FEELINGS associated with the addiction. That is why you drink and or use drugs, when the feelings become overwhelming, you have to do something. Unfortunately, you have made some poor choices. We can correct these, and help get you back on the path to a better life.

Who I am

My name is Dr James Hance and I have worked in the field of addictions for over 30 years. I hold a PhD in Health Services Administration, with a focus on addictions. When you call, you will speak to me, there is no large staff, fancy offices, or other people. Just you and me. I will guide you through the process of getting help for yourself. There are several important things for you to know. Everything you tell me is private and confidential. I ask you to trust me in the process of getting you the help that you need. Then, based upon medical need and necessity, I will make a referral for you for treatment options. It is very important for you to know, I am NOT employed by any treatment facility. This web site is supported by people in recovery, who care about others such as you. If you have health insurance, you have more options. If not, I can still provide resources for recovery for you.
